The 2022 season finished for the Patriots Baseball team in the Championship game of the NAIA Opening Round, after they finished the season 46-16. UC took home their second straight Mid-South Tournament title.

Sean Cheely led the Pats on the base path as he recorded 47 stolen bases. The 47 stolen bags put Cheely at fifth in the NAIA this season and placed him at second in the Patriots record books for steals in a single season.

The Cumberlands pitching staff came away with 464 strikeouts this season.
Hunter Rigsby finished with the most strikeouts with 87, followed by
Thomas Gutierrez with 75 and
Garrett DeClue with 51.

The season Cumberlands rewrote their offensive record books, as they set five new program records in a single season. The new records are hits at 724, doubles at 154, runs batted in with 508, runs scored with 561, and walks with 271.

Seven different Pats ended the season with at least 65 hits and a batting average over .300.
Charlie Muniz totaled 92 hits with a .418 average, thenÂ
Sujel Arias had 89 hits with a .374 average, and
Raphy Almanzar had 86 hits and a .354 average. While
Sean Cheely had 83 hits with a .336 average, and
Ray Villanueva with 83 hits and a .329 average. The final two were
Seth Benner with 71 hits and a .399 average, and
Candido Encarnacion had 68 hits with an average of .315.

Charlie Muniz led the team and the Mid-South in home runs with 19. That mark also put Muniz at fifth in the Cumberlands record book for home runs in a single season.

The Patriots have had five seasons with at least 40 wins in a season. Excluding the Covid shortened season it would be five straight seasons hitting the 40-win mark.

UC took home 15 All-Conference awards, starting with
Seth Benner winning Freshman of the Year and Coach
Jared Martin taking home Assistant Coach of the Year.

The Pats had two All-Americans this season, one was NAIA while the other was CoSIDA.
Charlie Muniz earned NAIA First-Team All-American honors, and
Sean Cheely took home CoSIDAÂ First-Team Academic All-American honors.Â
