Williamsburg, KY – University of the Cumberlands Baseball pitcher Wesley Culley has officially signed a professional contract with the New York Boulders of the Frontier League, earning the opportunity to continue his baseball career at the professional level following a standout career with the Patriots.

The New York Boulders are based in Pomona, New York, and compete in the Frontier League, the largest independent professional baseball league in North America. As an MLB Partner League, the Frontier League provides players with a platform to continue their development while pursuing opportunities within affiliated professional baseball.

Culley leaves Williamsburg as one of the most accomplished pitchers in recent program history. The left-hander capped off an outstanding 2026 campaign by being named the Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Year while also earning First Team All-Conference honors. He played a key role in helping the Patriots to a 48-10 record and another successful season on the national stage.

During the 2026 season, Culley made 15 starts and posted a 9-2 record with a 4.19 ERA across a team-high 77.1 innings pitched. He recorded 83 strikeouts while limiting opposing hitters to a .246 batting average. Culley also tossed three complete games, including one shutout, and finished among the Mid-South Conference leaders in wins and strikeouts.

Over the course of his three-year Patriot career, Culley appeared in 37 games with 32 starts, compiling a 16-4 overall record and a 4.22 ERA. Across 155.2 innings pitched, he struck out 182 batters while allowing opponents to hit just .264 against him. His career included four complete games and one shutout, showcasing his durability and ability to work deep into games.
