Upon her graduation in 2019, Courtnie Kirby was the most decorated archer in program history and was a four-time USCA All-American. Kirby captured four individual national titles and tallied nine individual podium finishes over her four years at Cumberlands, which currently ranks second in program history. In addition to her individual success, Kirby was part of 12 team rounds that earned national podium finishes, including nine team rounds that captured gold at their respective championships. Kirby’s success was not limited to nationals as she captured 10 Mid-South Conference All-Conference honors her final two seasons and help Cumberlands capture the first two MSC titles.
In her freshman campaign, Kirby recorded a trio of individual podium finishes, including posting a runner-up at the 2016 Indoor National Championships. She also was part of the Patriots women’s bowhunter team division that earned gold at 3D and Outdoor Nationals. During the 2016-17 season, Kirby was a key part in UC capturing the triple crown winning all three national titles in the same season. This year, Kirby reached the pinnacle of the bowhunter division capturing back-to-back national titles during the 2017 Indoor and Outdoor National Championships. She also tallied a pair of gold medal as part of the women’s bowhunter team division.  During her junior season, Kirby notched six gold medals across the three national tournaments, while garnering nine MSC All-Conference honors in archery’s first year as a conference sport. Kirby successfully defended both her women’s bowhunter titles at the 2018 Indoor and Outdoor National Championships, making her the most decorated archer in program history. Kirby capped off her Patriot career with a pair of national runner-up finishes at the 3D and Indoor National Championships in addition to earning multiple podium finishes during team rounds. Courtnie graduate UC as a two-time program record holder for top qualifying score. Kirby graduated from UC in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Communication Arts. She went on to obtain her Masters in Business Administration in May 2020.
