Originally from Cordele, Georgia, Scott Hamilton simultaneously stepped onto the Indian Gridiron and into the record books in the Fall of 1987. As a running back for the Indians, Scott chalked up 9 single season records including: Rushing-462, Carries-261, Touchdowns-19, Total Offense-1668 yards, Scoring-119 points, All-purpose yards-1501. Scott also led the team in rushing each of his four seasons. He earned numerous individual honors and was named as a 4 time All-Conference and All-District selection. He also a 3 time NAIA All-American. Scott still holds many Indian Football records including: 20 games with at least 100 yards rushing and 3 games with 200 or more yards. Scott currently holds 7 of the top 10 rushing performances in Indian history. He led the 1988 Indian squad to the MSC crown and their first ever playoff berth. For his career, Scott rushed for 4019 yards on 787 carries- both are still Indian records. In total, he rushed for 44 touchdowns and passed for 602 yards scoring an additional 9 touchdowns. Scott is currently a police officer, and resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
