As a catcher for the Indian Baseball team, Geff was a three time All-KIAC performer from 1981 to 1984. Geff was named All-Region in 1983 and NAIA All-American that same season, after compiling a .424 batting average with eight home runs and 41 runs-batted-in. He was signed to a professional contract by the Montreal Expos in 1984 and played in their minor league system for 5 years. During his minor league career, Geff was named to the Pennsylvania State League All-Star Team and the Florida State League All-Star Team. Geff was "called up to the big leagues" by Montreal in Septmeber 1986 and left the organization in 1987. Geff currently resides in Corryton, Tennessee, and serves as the Baseball Coach for Karns High School in Knoxville. Last Season, he coached his team to a 24-10 record which qualified the team as a Regional Runner-up. As a result of his efforts, Geff was named Knoxville Interscholastic League "Coach of the Year" in 1996.
