Joseph Albert Salvato was born and raised in Northern Kentucky. Throughout his youth, Salvato showed a love for soccer, baseball, running and swimming. He graduated from Highlands High School in 2000 with three state championships under his belt for track & field. That year, Salvato signed with Cumberlands to play soccer and run track.

At Cumberlands, Salvato played soccer in his first two years and excelled in running middle distance events for the track team all four years at Cumberlands. He finished his career as a 3-time National Champion and 4-time All American in track & field. Salvato’s relay teams still hold the school record in the 4x800 and 4x400 meter relays.

In 2004, Salvato graduated from Cumberlands with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and moved to Tennessee. Soon thereafter he began his career in banking and in 2016 was named Community President for his bank, Cumberland County Bank.

Salvato now lives in Crossville, Tennessee with his wife, Lindsey, and daughter, Elsey, and currently serves on the board of directors for several organizations.
