Sarah Allen is one of the most accomplished women’s wrestlers to come through the Patriots program. Allen was a four-time WCWA All-American, becoming just the third Patriot wrestler to
accomplish that feat. Allen is the program’s first wrestler to surpass 100 career wins and is currently the career wins leader with 132. She also holds the records for career falls with 41 while fourth (35) and fifth (34), respectively, in wins in a season. Over her time at UC, Allen compiled 19 top-eight finishes, including placing seventh at the WCWA National Championships her freshman year to earn All-American accolades.
Allen’s sophomore campaign was highlighted by a fifth-place finish at the WCWA National Championships and a sixth-place finish at the Asics University Nationals. Allen’s breakout season came during the 2025-16 season, where she compiled 34 wins and five top-five finishes. She earned Medalist honors at the NAIA Invitational, which was her first career win and closed out the season with a runner-up finish at the WCWA National Championships. Allen was ranked in the top three of her weight class for the entire 2016-17 season as she notched two tournament wins, a runner-up finish, and three third place finishes to go along with 35 wins. She placed third at the WCWA National Championships for her fourth All-American honor. Allen also garnered the prestigious PATRIOT award at the inaugural Pats Awards Ceremony. She graduated in May 2017 with a double major in Exercise Sport Science and Criminal Justice. Allen has been part of the UC coaching staff since 2017 and was named the Head Coach in 2023.
