A native of Belleville, Illinois, Kelley is the second of three children to parents, Thomas and Linda Tragesser. Younger sister, Meghan, played college soccer at Tennessee Tech University and University of Missouri - St. Louis.

Kelley is currently the career leader in assists at Cumberlands with 33 and 2nd in career scoring with 45 goals. She helped lead her teams to three Mid South Conference titles. Her teams achieved a 4 year record of 57-24-3. Kelley was also an achiever in the classroom, being named to the Academic All-Conference team.

Her freshman year, 1997, is still one of the greatest seasons in Cumberlands women's soccer history. The team achieved its first ever National Soccer Coaches Association of America national ranking, earned a 16th spot in the NAIA national poll and spent several weeks ranked number one in the Southeast Region. The 1997 team achieved a record of 19-5-2, won UC's first regular season and conference championship, were runners-up for the NCCAA National Championship, and advanced to the NAIA regional final, one game away from the NAIA national tournament.

As a freshman, Kelley led the conference in scoring with 21 goals and 20 assists. She was named 1st Team All-conference, NAIA All-Region and NCCAA All-American. As a sophomore, Kelley repeated as a 1st Team All-Conference performer, leading the team with 16 goals.

A few games into the 1999 season as a junior, Kelley was dealt a common setback in women's soccer when she tore her ACL. She took a medical redshirt that year and had reconstructive knee surgery in November of 1999.

Kelley finished up her final season of athletic eligibility at Hardin-Simmons University in 2001. At HSU she was named the Conference Player of the Year, leading the league in all statistical categories with 24 goals and 16 assists. She was also named All-Conference and All-Region while leading her team to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA National Championship Tournament.

Kelley earned a Bachelor of Science from University of the Cumberlands in December 2001 with a double-major in business administration and communication. She earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Hardin-Simmons University in May 2007.

Kelley says, "I feel so honored to be inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at University of the Cumberlands. I loved my time at Cumberlands and made friendships here that will last a lifetime. Many of my teammates were in my wedding or attended my wedding. I have been in many of their weddings. I would like to thank my amazing coaches, Kevin Mounce and Lars Andersson, who are still wonderful friends of mine. I would like to thank the many faculty and staff at Cumberland who supported our team so completely. Most importantly, I would like to thank all of my teammates. Each of you touched my life in amazing ways and without you this honor would not be possible. I would especially like to thank teammates Jo Bottom Abshire, Natalie Powell Dautel, Nikki Bull-Eguez, Erica Schulz Hansen, Kelley Hughes Hogue, Barbie Yurchison Jones, Megan Taylor, Tina Blue Wardlaw, and Christy Brush Weidman for the special impact you each had on my life. We were such a great team and I am proud to represent you today."

Since 2004, Kelley has worked at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX. She served as the Director of Admissions from 2004-2007 and is currently the Director of Career Services.

Kelley has been married to Marcus Wood for 5 years. They have a two-year old daughter, Kamryn, and currently reside in Abilene, TX.
