Konnie Irvin Snyder is the daughter of Kenny and Bonnie Irvin of Keavy, Kentucky. Her sister, Missie Irvin, is the current head coach of the Lady Patriots and was inducted into the AAHOF in 2007.
While playing for the Lady Indians, Konnie held the records for single game and single season assists until both were broken by her sister. With 414 assists during her career, Konnie remains 4th all-time. She is 10th all-time in career free throw percentage with .793% and 18th all-time for 3 point field goal percentage with .298%. At the end of the 1988-89 season, Konnie was free throw percentage leader with .763% and assist leader with 169 assists. She had a 25-point game versus Georgetown (1986-87 season) and a 30-point game against Alice Lloyd (1987-88 season). Konnie earned two degrees from UC, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Physical Education and a Master of Arts in Education.
For 15 years, Konnie was head coach of the South Laurel girls' basketball team in London, Kentucky. During her time at South Laurel, she amassed a career record of 252-181, which included seven district titles, two region titles, and one trip to the Final Four. She is in her second year as an assistant coach for the women's basketball program at University of the Cumberlands.
Konnie and her husband, Larry, live in London, KY. They have two sons, Nicholas and Korey, and one daughter-in-law, Vanessa. Nicholas and Vanessa are the parents of Konnie's only grandchild, Andrew, who is currently two years old. Korey is a senior and a member of the National Champion archery team at UC.
